There’s not really any noise cancellation, so it’s just down to the volume of whatever you’re listening to. It’ll be fine for quiet snoring, but if you’re being kept awake by a foghorn snorer, you’re probably better off with earplugs etc.

That really depends on your phone settings. I’ve got my (Google Nexus) phone set to automatically turn off all notifications from 10pm until the following morning, for instance.
