If I’m reading your comment correctly, you want to simultaneously stream music from your MP3 player over Bluetooth to both an FM transmitter and a separate set of Bluetooth speakers in your car? If so, I’m not familiar with a product that will let you do that — your MP3 player will only be able to stream to one Bluetooth device at once, and other than home theatre systems like Sonos that independently sync music between different speakers, I can’t think of a way of streaming to multiple devices at once. My question may stray from the above or maybe due to being technically challenged but here it goes – I have a classic car (1964) with an AM/FM radio. Because of my desire to keep it as original as possible I have purchased Bt speakers for flexible placement; I am using a Bt mp3 player as my music source to those speakers. In an effort to “balance the sound”, I tried to use an FM transmitter that I thought was Bt capabable, to also connect to my mp3 player. Could you suggest how I might accomplish what I am attempting to achieve?

Yeah, I can definitely believe that. How well these sorts of devices work is very dependent on how crowded the FM band is in the area you’re living in/driving through.
