We stayed a few blocks back from the water, a couple of minute’s walk away from Jalan Gaya. We initially booked for a few days in a hotel, and then negotiated a better rate to stay longer. It was a good location. I’m sure we could have got a cheaper deal in an Airbnb further out if we’d known at the outset that we’d be there for weeks rather than days, but so it goes.

Because we were so central, we didn’t need to use Grab or local public transport — we just walked everywhere.

I was wondering, where in KK were you staying? My girlfriend and I are going to KK next week and we’re not sure about where to stay in/around the city. Is the public transport / Grab cheap?

We’ll probably get a coworking office, but we might try out one of your cafés one day!

I just booked the 3 day World Music Festival in the jungle (my name) in Kuching in July. So I’ll check out KK while I’m in Borneo. Malaysia is just getting better and better for me. Who knows, maybe I’ll move permanently (lol)
