I’ve just tried Splitwise and it took me les than 10 minutes to decide!!
Im deffinetely sticking to SettleUp, the reason? Im using it forma travelling with another 2 friends, we are paying in 3 different currencies and settle up apart from letting you choose which currency you’ve paid sin (as does spiltwise), automatically converts the currencies to the main currency you will be paying the dept with.
If you’ve been paying in £, $ and €, but eventually will pay depts in € for an example. You want to know how many euros you owe in total.
– So splitwise turns out to say: X owes $ to Y and Z, Y owes € to X, and Z owes £ and $ to Y and X…very complicated!! Doesn’t change currency.
However Settleup out turns out to say: X, Y and Z have spent so many €, £, and $. Total amount in €.
X owes € to Y
Y owes € to Z
Z owes € to X
Easy!!!
I hope this helps ?

It’s quite easy to use, you can split an expense between different people, multiple people can pay for the same expense.

Debtrail allows you to scan and share receipts; also, you can create recurrent debts with the “schedule” feature, and the best part (in my opinion) the contacts receive emails and text messages about the debt, and they can notify you after paid their debt.
